Goose Lake in the past week?? Anyone??

A friend and I are heading to Goose Lake over the weekend..only an hour away from home vs. the drive to IfishStock. Have you fished it lately...and did you do any good. I have a friend who fished it a couple weeks ago and was catching and releasing 20"+ rainbows/browns. Those are nice fishes...I'd love to hook up with one..if you didn't catch and keep them all!

I fished Goose last week. There are still a bunch of fish in there (cutts, browns & brookies). I had the most success with a size 16 griffiths gnat. Cast towards rising fish, give a couple strips and hold on. You guys might also want to check out Mosquito Lake. The fish aren't big, but you can catch a bunch of 7"-11" brookies and a few tigar trout on small dries. Good Luck, I might fish Goose tomorrow.

I hope to see you up there. My buddy, who ties all my flies...said he was doing well on (sp) calabedis?? He is giving me some tomorrow for the trip. I hope to catch a couple. Are you planning on staying up there?? Has it been getting extra cold at night...it's in the mountains a ways...and I'm thinking the sleeping bag warmer might be a good idea?? Thanks again...I'll keep mosquito lake in mind...I don't like them skeeters though...and I'm assuming that there will be a few of them around...considering the name and all!
