Have you ever seen this pond? It is about a mile long and has smallies and Large mouth and walleye. Pan fish too. I was talking with some locals and they told me this is a good spot.

Walleyes in a lake. What state is it in, wash or ore?

saw huge smallies jumping all over for damselflies in there one day. Of course I was working so no rod! :(
Neat area, I like driving further up the road up on to the bench. There is also a bank outside in the big river right by the green nav marker that looks killer for walleye.

That's a beauty, and look at the green tint on the hillside. Spring's a'comin'.

The photos appear to be the mouth of Rock Creek. Excellent small mouth fishing in the spring. Good crappie fishing at night. A place to avoid in late summer. High rattlesnake population.

My buddy's folks fish it every year in end of april begining of may and they knock the smallies dead. Great place to fish. I was there on friday water is still a little cold.

Anybody willing to share a partial location for this spot??? I'm guessing the big river comments mean it's off the Columbia somewhere but from the landscape it should be a further east ---- Dalles / Rufus / ?????

Yep, Rock creek. Upstream from John Day Dam on the Washington side. Tons of carp too.
Huge parking lot filled with weeds and all the faded signs look like they were put up when the dam went in. I've always thought it would be a great location for filming a post-apocalyptic zombie movie.:D
