View Full Version : Spring Break: Luhr-Jensen Kids Photo Contest

My boy had a tough day in second grade yesterday. No big deal, just another day of growing up. When I was a kid, the opportunities to get outside, clear the head and grow through the difficult moments were many. My spring break consisted of disappearing from home in the morning and showing back up for dinner…with the lack of supervision that’s crazy in today’s world.
All that said, kids still benefit from the time outdoors. Your local Luhr-Jensen representative (he’s on the board from time to time) has offered some prize packs to encourage everyone to get the kids outside and fishing this spring break.
So let’s do this as a photo contest…kids only. The rules are simple: up to three photos per entrant, featuring kids fishing, over the upcoming week. The kids should be yours, or you must have the parents permission to post their photos. The prizes are for trout trolling (could be tough), trout casting/bank fishing, and bass fishing. Luhr-Jensen reps will narrow the field of entrants, then winners will be chosen by poll/vote the week of the 30th.
Get out there and get fishing. Some kids need some new gear for their tackle boxes!

What a great idea! Thanks for doing this.
:yeahthat: Big thanks to Luhr-Jensen, now to see if I can get time to take the little ones out....(70 hour work weeks are a blessing in this economy and a curse to spending enough quality time with the kids.)

Just for clarification, is that three per Ifisher or three per shorter than average fishing machine:D?

Ooops! these aren't trout at all! Panfish?
My four year old said it was time to go to the beach and with the good tides and weather I said let's get a fish taco or two!
He fished the big rod and held tight through the tide and cranked away, but got scared as they came up the beach!:meme:

He pulled these two to the sand and let me handle the rest:applause:

He wouldn't touch them unless they were "on a string"
We got 7 but his two were the big ones!:thisbig:

It has been a fun spring break in spite of the fact that I had to work through it. All the fish were caught trolling inspite of the efforts during the bathroom breaks:D.

My two sons and I were able to brave the elements and enjoy some the Northwest famous liquid sunshine. We were lucky enough to be rewarded with some nice springers. It was Logan's turn and he was able to land this nice 15 pound springer. :meme:
Happy Fishing! Matt

In fairness to Washington residents, we'll go another week with the contest for their spring break. Some great shots already posted!

Here is my son wetting a worm in hopes of a trout. I had the fortunate opportunity to live on this property right after my divorce.
