Just interested to know how most builders make there butt rap and pole layout. Lets say you make your butt rap with 4 colors would you use the same 4 colors for the guide raps and make them all match up or use different colors or what ever you like for your guide rap?

There is no correct way which is one of the appealing aspects of building rods. However, I almost always include the colors of the guide wraps in the butt wrap.
Some people wrap the butt first then line the guides up to the butt wrap. I do it the opposite, putting the guides on first; either way is correct.
