First Build - 5' pink rod (Final Update)

I finally got around to working on my project and I was a little nervous about getting the cork to come out right. So, I went ahead and tried to create a homemade reamer out of an old surf rod by hot glueing sandpaper to it. I guess it worked okay, but I don't think my next one will go this route. I had myself a pretty good high spot that was a bear to try and get down. So, I need critique on my progress so far....as well as a couple of questions. I ended up getting some glue on the fore grip and I thought I could sand this off If the nail polish remover doesn't work. And my other question, I was pretty slow with the reaming, and I think I ended up with too tight a fit...as far as the glue is concerned...did I just end up pushing it all out the bottom?....anyway, opinions wanted!!

After some starts and stops....I am finished with my first build. I am struggling horribly with getting an even coat on my butt wrap....and I wish I had taken up an offer from Stickfish to use his dryer and his thread finish.
I promise this will be the last thread about the pink rod, it is even hurting my eyes at this point. But, I did want to extend a big thanks Stickfish for all of his guidance on this build. Without him, I would have bought all the wrong components that I had orginally chosen and he always responded to all of my questions. You guys have a great site here and it is great to see everyones designs!
