Where are the best deals on blanks to be found? I'm wanting to build a 10.5' steelhead bobber rod and need all the pieces.

mudhole, or one of your local retail rod builders. You can pick up a pretty cheap lami 10.5 light-medium for 80.00 bucks.

Catchnrelease,
If you are looking for a 10'6" Steelhead bobber rod it is going to be hard to beat the Rainshadow IST1263 or the XST1263. They are both outstanding blanks. Put a set of the new light weight ALPS guides on them and the cost will not break the bank and you will have as good a rod as is available at any price.

Pacific Bay makes a reasonably priced blank. I have four or five, and they're good rods, for the price.

I would like to keep the blank between 50-80$ if possible. Try and keep the whole rod under $150

A second for Utmost. I believe they give a 25% discount off of MSRP. Also they have the fastest shipping and great customer service.

A lot of fly blanks work for bobber rods. I check the specials at the suppliers and sometimes find a blank that will suit more than one purpose. Did this with a 12 wt 9ft 6in and made a heavy salmon downrigger rod that I like a lot and recently used a 8 wt 13ft spey blank to make a bobber rod.

I agree with Stickfish; Anglers Workshop is local and they have always matched prices from other websites. Their service is outstanding or has been in the past; very helpful.
