A couple of "firsts" for me. One is a tiger wrap the other is an optical chevron.

Kurt what color did you use on the top layer of the Tiger? The chevs look great

Size A, Gudebrod black. Size A 246 blue and 720 grey for the underwrap. I was just experimenting on a SWB80M that will be a "beater" albie rod. I would have liked the pattern to have stood out more, it looks dark under normal lights. The only reason it shows up well in the pics is because of the flash.
The chev. is my first wrap with Madeira, definitely not the last......move over Gudebrod :D Not perfect, but considering this rods butt wrap has caused me more headaches that all my others combined.......... I originally started out to to a four axis, closed, split diamond fade(light to dark greys on one half, light to dark blues on the other), no go. Spacing for the last few thread passses wasn't uniform :passout: Laying out the 8 axis took some trial and error too, I have cut off the base wrap more than once :hoboy:

Real nice chevron! May need to try that one day. Did you notice,or measure, how much that added to the rod weight or sensitivity? Are those things important for that type of rod? Thanks.
