I know the park use payment is all automated now. I forgot to pick up a 5 spot at the store. Can you use a 20, or a debit card?

Thanks, Todd

Looked like there was someone in the booth this morning when I drove through.

Not to hijack sorry, but i figure i might as well add it to this instead of starting a new thread but does anyone know if the year passes are good for any vehicle or do they want a liscense plate number?

Yearly pass is 55 with a boat and it is only good for one vehicle. The gal at the booth told me a second pass for a second car is half price.

Last year when I went there it was just a machine.

Sometimes that happens if you get there before or after they close.

You can use a 20, but the change comes as dollar coins.:twocents:

That's all I need is a bag full of galleons.

The store you pass going to the lake (a mile or so before the entrance) also sells the passes. I always get mine there.

hrmm not sure if they sell daily passes there or not, I always get an annual first trip of the year. Also, I think their commission costs you 50 cents more than if you buy it at the park.

I stoped in today and they said they only sell the season passes. You have to get the daily passes at the park.

I'm confused. I thought it was another 50 dollars for the boat. Is it $55 total for car and boat?

We paid a total of $55.50 at the store yesterday for vehicle & boat.

So, a person with a deflated boat in their minivan should be paying the $6 daily, or the $55.50 for seasonal, correct?

I think it would be for vehicle only since you aren't parking a boat trailer, but I would call Lake Stop Store and ask. Here is the number:

That's what I would think as well, but they don't specify clearly what "boat" is, it doesn't specify "trailer".

I was charged the "boat" fee for my kayak that was in the bed of my truck yesterday. I didn't have a trailer, nor did I use the boat launch. I'm curious how this works? By keeping it vague I guess they will just bank on folks without trailers.

I'll be purchasing the seasonal "boat" pass, as I do have a power boat that I take there to play in the summer with.

It just had me wondering about the rigs with kayaks, canoes, inflatables and such that don't have trailers or need the boat launch to get to the water. How are these any different than someone pulling in with a Subaru, whipping out the inflatable mattress and plopping in the lake?

I car-top my canoe at Hagg and every time there was an employee at the gate last year, they charged me $6.

If you launch anything (boat, pontoon, canoe, etc) they'll charge you the boat fee. If they see a float tube in the car, they'll charge you the boat fee.

It seems to me that since the lake opened and all the structures and blacktop and cement were in place, the fees have pretty much gone toward paying off the existing stuff, hauling the trash out, and wages for the people maintaining the park. Isn't it great that the first real improvement made with the money collected is a machine to collect the money? Don't get me started.

If you are 55 or older, I believe you can get a senior pass, which is good for your vehicle and a boat if you have one. That is what I was told at the Hillsboro grocery where I got my pass. The pass was just $35.50:twocents:
