Thompson Reservior

Am thinkiing about taking a trip this Spring over to Thompson Reservoir. I fished it last Summer and had a blast. I have never fished it in the Spring and was wondering when the bite really takes off over there? Any assistance is appreciated since I live on the other side of the mountain and have to plan time off way in advance.
