Any good float tubing lakes in Eastern oregon that arent frozen this time of year? or other fly fishing spots? I will be over there for 2 weeks and need something to do.

check out Mann Lake southeast of Burns. They have a hybrid strain of cutthroat that get decent size.

Chickahominy Resovoir West of Burns might be ok too.

I drove by Chickahominy last week and it looks like a small farm pond right now. I don't know if there are still fish in it or not. It is low and muddy.

Mann is fun but a bit of a drive from Burns. It is also low, but lots of people fishing it last week. I only had 30 min. to fish it but did land a nice 17" cutt.

You might consider the Donner Und Blitzen ubove Page Springs camp ground by French Glen. I fished below it, but got nada (the river was colored from a hard rain).

Two other lakes that I only of by name are Yellow Jacket Reservoir, and Delintment.

Could I get some serious advice about fishin' the Blitzen in mid May? I have fished it twice for those lovely redbands, but haven't hit anything larger than about 10".

Helpful hints would be great!

what about the Kieger? Mann is fun, and yes, chick is in bad shape!

Don't forget Krumbo Lake. The bad news it is a day use area, no camping, big fish though.
