Vis was pretty low today 3-4 feet. Extremely windy from the South (upstream) Eeeek gads! You know what that means... :mad: TOUGH CASTING ALL DAY! I did manage to catch a 5pound(ish) steelhead which looked pretty bright (go figure) and a fiesty lil 12 inch rainbow. No whitey (go figure)!
Nobody on the river but me and my flyrod! graemlins/hearton.gif

That wind can be evil. Congrats on the Steelie however, that is pretty cool. No steelhead is too small for a fly rod :smile:

I fished the D on saturday instead of going to your talk on carp. The fishing was very good and there was not much wind until about noon then it kicked up hard. I did not fish much longer after in came up. The water was clear and cold and it was sunny. Only fishing til lunch I still managed to land a dozen fish or so. Most where 14-16". The hottest fish was on my new (to me) bamboo South Bend 359. I landed the fish on my first cast with this rod!!! Please post if you ever give another talk on fly fishing for carp!
