What flylines do you prefer when tossing weighted bugs and indicators for steelhead on the bottom? I have sampled various configurations on various rods and have found a few modifications I like. I was wondering what you all use.
Do you over line rods with large double tapers or chop up extended weight forward lines? Overloaded straight tapers?

I used to overload a 9' 6/7 rod and line with otis bugs... Got tired of it, got the 9'9" 8wt, and run 8wt SA GPX line on it. Works nicely.

I have used Wolf TT, Rio Long Cast, Rio Multi Tip lines and all have worked really well for chuck and duck. Last year i had a line sent to me by friend in the UK that is really interesting
it is made by a company called Snowbee in the UK. He sent me an 8wt and this line casts really nice, it shoots great and every one who has cast it likes it, it is a great floating line.
I do not over line my rods as i have found with the lines i have used there is no need, Just put them on the loomis and away they go,
