Willam Sanders broke the current Hybrid Bass state record on February 12th, catching an 18 lb 9.5 oz one in Ana Reservoir. It was 30" long and 25" in girth. The old state record was 18 lb 8.32 oz caught in 1992.

The old state record black crappie (4lb 6oz) caught by John Doss in 1995 has been removed from the record books at the request of the angler. The record reverts to Billy R. Biggs at 4 lb 0 oz. caught in 1978.

What a wiper! Ana Lake? Alot of hybrids in some of the lakes back home,as they seem to survive warm shallow lakes better than pure stripers, which run deep in the syummer, whre the temp is cold.
Hats off to Mr Sanders!

The angler reported he caught the fish on Berkley power bait. You don,t think that there might have been a trout on that power bait and the swiper ate the whole thing?

Why would someone ask to have their record taken from the books? Does that happen often?
