The river should be in good shape when you come out. I think the weather is supposed to be good throughout the weekend.

Insofar as reports...well, I guess there are a few fish here although some are leftover summer run fish. I did "fair" last weekend nymphing and using a small egg trailer.

I'm thinking about hitting the Sandy myself...

...maybe.

Talk to Duddles at the Gorge Fly Shop for patterns and places to go. He's usually good information.

Well the river looked great except for all the people who beat me to the hole, thats what you get when you show up late. No hook ups for anyone, I talked to the OSP who was there and he said out of the 30 checks he made only 2 natives were caught 1 summer and 1 winter...where are they

I fished a few miles below the dam and didn't do as well as I had hoped. It was still great to get out though. Isn't it always? A guy who was bobber fishing below me reported that he and his friend had brought three natives to the bank but he didn't say whether or not they were summer or winter fish. Of course, I forgot to ask. There's always tomorrow...

Keep your head up!
