Just like HookMiester just said...this can get addicting. I just got my components in the mail for my first build.
I know it's a pink rod build for my little one...but, I am pretty jazzed!!!......anyway, It's fun getting the
stuff in the mail, that you have stared at online and can't get your hands on to try out. I do want to thank
everyone for their help...this has been a great forum to be a part of....good group of folks up here!

My twins wanted me to make one pink rod and one purple. How are the blanks? I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Better put that on hold the fish are biting big guy. Looks like a fun project. Hope the honda is still going great for you. Score for me this year is two in the freezer and two near deaths. See you on the water.:applause::meme:

Fishfry, any american made Lamiglas blank can be custom ordered painted any color - adds $20 to the cost of the blank and 3-4 week wait. Also Lance at Swampland rods usually has pink and purple available in several different types of blanks. I used one of Lance's rods to build a pinkie for Jennie

I got my blank from Mud hole....it is one of their CRB blanks they had on sale for 15.95. They have plenty of pink and purple available. I am not keen enough to say how well the blank is made. But, I had a couple people tell me they are decent enough for what I needed them for.

I have looked at those and ended up spending a bit more than that. I am sure that is going to be my next project or theirs at 8 they asked to build a fishing rod with me and of course I puffed out the chest and said why sure Daddy will teach you anyhting you want to know. Beat having tea parties all the time. :D
