Ok it's time to start hitting the water. Any one like to make a trip with me to the coast for some possible monster large mouth bass? I'm bring my pontoon! We can talk about what lake to hit (shhhhh). Silver lake starts turning on around mid-March! the coast should be a couple weeks earlier than silver!
Thanks
Roger

The weather is the key. Im looking to fish a kind of shallow lake, they warm up faster. So after looking at the weather I will plan the trip around that. A few warm days would help!
We are getting near good fishing times!

I have pulled some nice fish from this one pond the only time I ever fish it. I think I will try this pond on the coast next week!

I got that upgrade to the 9ft pontoon. It is Fish Cat with back deck. I still have my old one. Dunno what im gonna do with it. Might sell it. It is lighter than my new one, but if i need to hike into n e places i always use my float tube. we need to hit up rambo and maybe the front pond in a week or 2

I'm taking Thursday and Friday off to go hit my favorite coastal lake. If it's 55 and sunny I think I know where and how to get 'em. I will post on Monday.

I took my nephew to Cullaby on Thursday and hit it hard all afternoon. the water was 46 when we got there a I found some at 52 degrees by 5:00. However, we could not find any takers. Usually, once the water hits fifty we can find them in the warmer shallow bays tight or even behind the brush/trees overhaning the shoreline. Nada. Tubes-- nada, jig & pig-- nada, skipped plastics deadsticked--nada, cranks banged into wood--nada, single spinner baits yoyo'd-- nada.
Humble Pie-- plenty!!
