The two 5 year old group 24 deep cycles on my camp trailer have given up the fight. I bought them at Joe's. Should I go back to Joe's or is there anywhere else I can get a better deal on good batteries? Often we will dry camp for 3-5 days and I need good batteries. I have also been known to pull one to use on my electric trolling motor. Suggestions? Thanks much

Went to Joe's today wanting to support IFISH sponsor. Their inventory was low low low. Forgot about Costco. Will give them a try. Thanks much

You might want to phone first, but last week Joes at Delta Park had a deep stock of Trojan batteries - all varieties.

Beware of the $15 rebate Joe's is offering on their batteries. I bought a battery from Joe's on 01/21/09 and sent in the rebate form the same day with all necessary paperwork. I have heard nothing from them. The rebate status web site has never returned my email inquiries so I have no idea what is happening. I hope it is not due to their current financial difficulties but I would not count that out. FYI.

FYI. 25 off 100 is instant in this case. Only for 4 days.

I went to exchange a bad battery at the Beaverton Joe's the other day...
Their stock was low, and they didn't have my battery. They couldn't tell me when/if they were going to replenish the stock, so they gave me a full refund instead. Until they get their chapter 7 status resolved and have a clear direction, I'm going to buy my batteries elswhere.
I'm still shopping for other stuff at Joe's... I hope they can figure-out a way to stay open.

Battery X-Change has always treated me well. The employee gave me a very detailed description of my options when I bought batteries for my trailer last spring.

I used to laugh when the battery guy that serviced the place I used to work would pull up to the back door and wheel our pallet of batteries in.
I would look in the truck to see Les Shwab batteries, GI Joes, Fred Meyer, Costco, Napa, etc.... all ready to roll.
From what I understood back then there where only a couple of major battery producers in the U.S. that produced nearly everything for the market.
So basically go where you can get the best deal for the size you need.:twocents:
