Is it difficult to replace the cutlass bearing? I need to and would like to know if I could do it myself.
Thanks

The sleeve just slips over the output shaft. The piece in the stator needs to be pressed in.

I have done a few. Some times if it has been in a lot of salt. They are hard to press out of the housing a little heat helps or warm it up soak it down with something like BP blaster and let cool overnite reheat and press out and yet some times you still break the housing Good luck
ps if you have a lot of HP change out the 3rd stage inpellor Better coming out of the hole and better top end at lower rpm
