I am thinking of floating the Pudding later this summer and was wondering if anyone know a good place to put a pontoon in? I hear its pretty hard to find a place. Any suggestions?
Various roads go over the Pudding all over out there. You may be able to put in near Canby at Pat's Acres Go-Kart facility. Not sure where you'd take out, but you could just head down to the Molalla and then out to the Willamette, taking out at Mollala State Park.
Lots of sweepers on the Pudding, even though it is a really, really slow river.

There are also put-in's on Anderson Road beneath the RR trestle, just 1/4 mile south of 99E in Aurora and well up river (beneath the bridge) at the Whiskey Hill Gun Club.

Thanks you folks! I was told there were not put ins on the Pudding by local folks here in Hillsboro. they canoed it and only fell in once! Pretty good for seniors! A friend and I are thinking of doing some bass fishing and then taking out well down in the park
We canoed it last week. Put in at Anderson Rd. under the trestle (right off of 99E heading towards Canby from Aurora). Took out at Molalla State Park on the Willamette.
No problems with sweepers in that stretch. Caught a couple of nice smallies on plastic worms.

Hi CZ: is that put in real steep and rugged? How would it be for small pontoons? How long were you on rhe water? Many snags?
Or are those the "sweepers" you mentioned?
tnanks mucho!
It is steep, but shouldn't be hard with a pontoon boat.
It took us a good 6 hours to get from that point to the Molalla State Park takeout, most of the time being spent on the Pudding. The river moves real slow, so it can take some time...
No snags to really worry about, although the water was pretty high when we went, so that may have changed.
