I took a cargo raft down the Deschutes for a group of 3 adults and 7 teenagers. I was the only one doing any serious fishing. The salmonfly hatch is waning, although the fish will still take a few dries in the evening. Golden Stone patterns were more effective than the Salmonflies, though. My old standby, the Blacktail caddis, was not as hot as it usually is though. I only averaged a dozen fish per day, and only a couple of those were on the caddis. There was a fair Hexagenia hatch, I caught a few fish on a Para-Drake, while this was going on. A good old Quill Gordon accounted for several fish also.
I saw 2 driftboats underwater as I went through Whitehorse . Both were beyond salvage.
White river is still blown.
