Free food and and rods!

... no the rods are not free, just available to try!

The annual Anglers' Club of Portland fly casting meeting normally occurs on the second Thursday of June. That's the 13th. The picnic gathering is catered - burgers, dogs, salads, drinks and desserts for free! The meeting is at the Westmoreland Park casting pond in Sellwood from 5 o'clock to dusk. There are usually a dozen or so cane rods for those that want to try them and all sorts of other rods, personal and manufacturer's samples, available to try out.

This months meeting will be our annual barbeque and fly fishing clinic at Westmoreland Park. We will be at picnic site eight, which near the casting pond and the same site as last year. All food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. We were able to get the same catering services as last year, so the food should be excellent. We encourage you to bring friends, family members, or fishing buddies to the barbeque. This is a great chance to try out new equipment and arrange fishing outings for the summer.
