Does anyone have a lead on where I can locate a new or used cowling for a 2003 mercury optimax xl 3.0l I have searched far and wide and have not had any luck..Thank you.

Check on ebay, there's usually one or two on there

There was a guy selling cowlings on craigslist recently.

Thanks guys...ebay and cl struckout..mostly all were for the 2.5L..Struck out at Stevens too....boats.net has brand new ones but they are very spendy

I just picked up a 2005 115hp 4 stroke yami cowling for 200 bucks on CL....to buy one new would have cost $950.00 . It was in Seattle and the guy brought it to me!! I posted an add asking for one and it only took 2 days...the guy was a Mercury repairman and he sent me a pic of the Yami cowling amongst several Mercury cowlings....I might be able to find his number again.

Thanks alot guys...I just scored one thats in good shape from Island Marine Salvage..Only cost me 200:)
