Anyone been out on the Mckenzie lately below Leaburg?

conditions, new hazards etc....?

First time out this year - wondering if there are any new Ramp issues, trees in the river, new braids and of course - hows the fishing?

they are working on cougar dam and as a result all the sediment laden water is flowing into the main stem.the river is half brown and half gin clear for about a half mile below the south fork entrance then it all blends into the wrong color. below leaburg is murky and high.it probably won't clear until july.

Floated Hendricks to Armitage... don't bother if you want to fish... was a nice boat ride and shore lunch but as stated above, the river is fouled from the work at Cougar...

Talked to the F&W biologist yesterday, says the turbidity is way down... was 110 when I floated it last, now at 50... right at the high end of fishable. Headed out tomorrow morning for a long float, Deerhorn to Armitage.
Updates soon!

looks like the levels have been dropping the last few days too. The Cougar Drain must be about done.

Would be interested in hearing the conditions from any of you all that live down that way.
