I'll be in the high desert region this weekend.

Any general reports from fall river?

Morning or Evening better? Or ... high noon?

Hatches of interest?

Unless you want to flog the river all day do high noon. Get there around eleven and do some small nymph stuff like pheasant tail, or I use a thin nymph tied with BWO dubbing and a small bit of turkey biot for a wing case. I really don't nymph much as I like the dry fly action. Around 12 the BWO hatch should start and last for about 2 hours. I don't know the size right now because I have a new toy and have not been down to the river in several weeks. They may be 14 or they may be 20-18. I really like to fish an emerger as a dropper behind my parachute pattern. A thin-bodied brown or black size 14 caddis with no hackles can get some fish too. I don't think the black stones are still around, which this pattern matches, but this pattern can be good. The ospreys have just returned so the fish have moved back into the deeper water. Have fun. graemlins/idea.gif Also, I like to use a 7X tippet. Just remembered that this time of year you may see a PMD. A tan size 14 comparadun will match this.
