I thought Id ask and see if youall are willing to share your favorite lake flies for this time of year. What Hatches do they imitate, or do they work for no apparent reason? Anyways, here goes some of mine:
1. Royal Coachman-wet 8-10
2. Coachman-wet 10-8
3. Adams-dry (14)
4. Grey Hackle/Peacock dry (16-4)
I hope a few of you have some flies youd be willing to add.
I hope the ones Ive listed work for you!

The lake flies I use this time of the year are
as follows:
Chronimid-dead drift with indicator
Minni Leech-Brown-Green-Black bead head
Scuds-green-tan
Bead head prince nymph
Pheasant tail-bead head
Hare's Ear-bead head
All above can be fished with a floating line
Sink line or Still Water line I use
Wooley Buggers there are several types and colors
Dragon Fly nymph
all types of leeches and again Zug Bug/Prince Nymph
Later on when the Damsil flies start to hatch use
a Damsil nymph, and of course the adult Damsil
during the hatch.
In the spring most lakes have a Calabeatis hatch
which is your Prince/pheasant tail/hairs ear nymph
and when the adult hatches use Adult Calabeats
or Parachute Adams.
Fish the lakes as if you are fishing a river, look
for working fish, and once your into them stay put
and quarter cast in that area. Yes one can troll
with a Wooley Bugger and catch fish, but be experimatial, think like a fish.

My best producers in the spring on little coast lakes have been :
Wooly worm size 10
Hare's ear size 12
Zug bug size 10-12
Adams size 14
Black gnat 14
Mosquito 14
Seems to me that the little trout in coast lakes arent all that picky. These are all very effective patterns for me.

Depending on the lake, most are still a little cold. I like to fish something with a little movement on it. The fish are still a little lathargic now, but the closer to summer you get the more active they will become.
Some of my favorites:
woolly worm- bead head- 10-14
bead head prince nymph
bead head golden ribbed hares ear
small midge patterns
BWO
scuds and almost anything with a marabou tail- the movement really gets them

What lakes do you all fish? I have been meaning to go to Coffenberry for a couple years, just never get overthere.
