Another excerpt from my fishing journal dated February, 11 2005...
Wilson River Level: 3.91 ft (low & clear)
Conditions: Cold & Clear AM, sunny PM
Air Temp: 25 degrees
Water Temp: 38 degrees
Steelhead hooked: 7
Steelhead Landed: 4
Steelhead Released: 4
Largest: 10-pounds
Kept: 0
Started at georgous hole...nothing. Went to the Friday hole and it had a bunch of fish in it. First cast I watched a beautiful buck casually slide over and inhale the bead shrimp tail jig. I landed him and after a quick picture he was released. Hooked but lost another on the same bead shrimp tail jig. Walked up to the next drift up and hooked, landed, released two more native steelhead on the same jig. Walked back down to the Friday hole and hooked two more on the bead shrimp tail jig. Total for the day...7 fish hooked on the same bead shrimp tail jig.
