Hi everyone. My name is Chris, did the intro thing on the other board, thought I would say hi here on the other side of the moon. Took up fly fishing for steel BIG time a few years ago, been mostly on the big D which is in my neck of the woods. Got a few pics to share, nothing great but a good fish fix none the less. Tried skating on the surface for the first time this Sept. and what a blast! Raised fish 3 out of the four runs I tried it in, landed one of my largest D steelhead on a skating caddis. The one with the orange foam back and elk hair.

I am not a purist by any sense of the word, i still get a kick out of catching them on spinners, spoons and jigs. But I have to admit that the gear rods have been spending more time in the truck than on the water. So without further ado i will try to post some pictures.14038

Ok so that didn't work so great. How do you compress you photos small enough to be posted? Those two just happened to be small enough to post, the other 50+ weren't?

You have to resize them to somewhere in the 800x400 range. Nice fish !

Welcome:cheers:

Heres a few of those fish that made the Deschutes famous. I swear some of those fight harder than the steelhead.14047

Welcome!

In that first pic I thought you had a giant beard because of the location of the drop of water on the camera:D
