Just finished a drawing. Sorry the picture quality isn't the best, - had to borrow my daughter's camera.

Great job; I especially like the effect of the fish being partially submerged in the water.
I can't wait to see some more of your art .

Yeah, it's been pretty boring lately so I did work on it a few slow nights. At least I wasn't burning bandwidth on the internet . One can only read tech manuals for so long before the book gas reaches lethal levels.

Beautiful picture!
Amazing, I could look at that picture for hours. I also like the way the water is up on the fish, the rocks, the line. Very neat.

Amazingly well done! All things considered...Looking at these 2 photos we can see you have captured every detail of the sea run perfect...the fins are just right. I love that you even captured the yellow that is so present in many cutts.
You are also welcome to use these photos for your next works :D

Do you know what fly he caught it on?
Had lunch with him today and he said it took a reversed spider, but not after throwing the whole box at it. Apparently it was "slurping" something really small even though there was an october caddis hatch going on.
And thanks all for the comments.
Matthewc, mind if I use those excellent pics for reference purposes?

Thanks Mike. So any chance you can show this Spey rookie how to fling that Echo if and when the flood waters recede? BTW, what line should I pick up for it?

That's beautiful. If you have prints made maybe one could go toward an ifish auction to support the site.

Thanks so much for all the comments.
Yes, I should have some prints later this week and I will definitely donate one to the ifish auction. I've also had a request to donate one to the Native Fish Society which I am glad to support.
Things have changed drastically since I last had any prints done in the mid-90's, both in the print market itself and print making technology. On the recommendation of the gallery folks I've worked with I'm going to do a very small edition size of around 25 prints total. The print shop I'm using does "giclee" prints which is a digital ink-jet process that produces a very slick, realistic finish that can be even be on textured surfaces like canvas. I'm leaning towards a nice, fine texture watercolor paper for the cutt prints.
Mike, and yes, your on the list!

Finally got things set up and prints will be available next week. One print will also be put up for the next ifish auction. I'm also donating up to 5 to support fish conservation, - including one in the Native Fish Society auction next month.
On advice from the gallery folks I work with, I'm keeping it a very small limited edition of only 25 prints total (already have orders for 5). They suggested a retail of around $100 to keep it comparable to other prints, and still be worth while due to gallery commissions (usually 50% or more for prints). However, since I hope to sell them mostly online I'm offering them for $75 each (that and $100 is a lot of money these days). Of course each print will be signed and numbered.
