I recently acquired a great deal and picked up a G Loomis 9ft 10wt GL2 Rod and am looking to pair it with a reel in the $100 - $150 range. Any pointers?
Pretty open to use, but will be used in the salt as well as fresh.
Thanks for the help guys.

I've been quite impressed with the Albright reels in that price range.

I agree with that. They just dropped their top of the line reel down from $225 to about $135 on their website (www.albrighttackle.com (http://www.albrighttackle.com)). Alos I would look into Lamson Radius and Pflugger Trion. I have both and they work well. The Pflugger is a little heavy but it does balance a heavy stick well.

I second the Pflueger Trion idea. a little heavy, but pretty smooth and pretty darn good drag.

Last time I looked, Sierra Trading Post had Ross CLA 8/9 reels on sale for $150. I have 4 CLA's, and think they are a great reel at $225, so at that price..
Should be plenty of reel for the Loomis, especially if you're running a shooting head system..
