A good friend, since childhood, passed last week. Way too early in life. He was an inspiration to those who knew him. Always positive but with a laser wit to keep you on your toes. Absolutely loved fishing and his friends.

dave will be missed by a lot of people who cared for him. he was a good man.

I've worked for the same company as Murphy for the past 20 years and had talked with him about business matters more times then I could count. My wife is also employed by the same company for 20 years also and she cried over the phone when I told her the he had passed away. She was able to put two and two together on Murphy's November thread and had me PM him to find out if it was who she thought he was. He replied back on how good of a detective she is and she laughed. She was telling me the other day how it had been awhile since she last talked to him and we were wondering how everything was going.

She said that he was always her favorite guy on the other end of the phone and had such a great sarcastic scense of humor when it came to the "dead-beats" that they were use to dealing with.

He will be sorely missed by Fred Meyer and it breaks my heart to know what he had went through in his life and how excited he was to get "fixed".

My next fish will be dedicated to you Murphy....tight lines Brother!

I haven't talked with Dave for years but my wife sat next to him in the office.... heartbreaking! I remember working with him back in the old days at Rockwood telling jokes and killin time. Time flies!

We'll miss your wit and amazing sense of humor. Our prayers are with the Murphy family. :pray:
