I thought we could share our best trout photo's from this year. I did this last two years and got a pretty good response.
I caught this 30" 10 pound Mackinaw when fishing by myself at Crescent Lake in November.

Great idea Jimmy. Lets make this an Ifish tradition on the trout board.
This bull was caught and released on Billy Chinook in April.

This mack was the 4 th place fish in the June mack derby at Cultus. Caught and released at the dock at weigh-in.

All of the biggest macks that were caught on my boat in 2008 were caught by other fishermen and I hope they post those pics , but here was my best for the year from Crescent on that magic day of Dec. 5th. Caught and released.

http://www.ifish.net/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=13575&stc=1&d=1230054037
I tied for my biggest brown trout of the year at 7lbs. each. Here is the first from East Lake in July. A 28" killer hookjaw which was C & R with TrophyTroutHunter.
http://www.ifish.net/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=13576&stc=1&d=1230054037
The second was a shorter (26") but stockier male caught in May.

I got my buddy Brad into his biggest ever brown trout on the same trip in May. A beautiful 5-1/2lb., 24" male which was also C & R.

Here's me with my personal best lake trout caught from Crescent in May of '08. 16 lbs, 32 inches. I was with Klamanite and my father. Coyote and Hookjaw were also up there that weekend. This fish was released immediately after the photo.
http://www.ifish.net/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=13693&stc=1&d=1230583671
And here's me with my largest brown of '08. This also was at Crescent in May of '08 with my Dad (Klamanite wasn't there yet). Not my largest by a fair margin, but I was pleased. 26 inch, 5-1/2 lb hookjaw brown, C&Red.

Didn't get to fish NEARLY enough this year (I was very busy), but it's always great to get out and fish with great people. We are truly blessed here in Oregon! Congrats to everyone else's catches this year :applause: Some great pics (and I really love seeing the kids getting out there and getting some really nice trout)! Here's to bigger and better things for '09:cheers:

You guys are killing me with your big fish. I got my boat in February and got the Kokanee addiction bad!! I'm on a 12 step program for 2009 that mandates targeting some mack's and browns. These are my best for 2008.
A couple of real nice Kok's from Paulina.

I like to carry a net big enough to land the next state record. Unfortunately, it seems to work just like really expensive raingear - you only need it when you leave it at home. I gotta start leaving it at home.

I prefer to hand land them if they are going back in the lake where most of them go, instead of on the wall or the BBQ. Keep the memory, let the fish make more.... (Note my friend's son is wearing his life preserver from the boating safety life jacket give-away at the C.O. Sportsman's show -- very well supported last year by a bunch of iFish volunteers.)

I was happy to see my brother-in-law keep one to eat, now that he doesn't have to eat through a tube in his stomach anymore. This is about 6 months after his last cancer treatment. The rest went back in the lake.
