I left this gun leaning on the truck and just drove off without it. I guess it was bound to happen sometime in a lifetime of hunting. The gun was on private property near the airport. I came back a few hours later and it was gone. If anyone runs across someone looking to sell a 1995 Japanese Auto-5 12 ga 3" shells with invector chokes please let me know. I can identify some distinguishing marks. And there is a reward offered. Honestly the monetary value of the gun in the shape its in is nothing compared to its sentimental value to me. Thanks

Make sure you call the Sheriffs office and have them put the serial number in the system. There are enough dirtbags down there that if a cop comes across it and they run the number youll get it back.

You know, recording all the serial numbers from my guns has been on the to-do list for ten years. Never got around to it. I will now. Thanks though, that's really good advice.

If you bought it from a dealer they will have the info on their books. It might take them awhile but they are supposed to keep those for X number of years.
