I found a post on Craigslist. Someone found a rod at Newport and wants to find the owner:
"You guys from Salem & Eugene (musicians) that were crabbing & fishing off the pier at Newport on Dec 9th, you forgot one your poles. Call 503-990-4769 to identify."
