Has anyone mounted a cooler on their seahawk's offshore bracket? I think that there is enough room to when the motor is down and still allow for normal trim function. I am not sure though the best way to install and do not want to buy a new cooler until I have it figured out. Does anyone have ideas and or pics of what they have done?

Thanks in advance.

I mounted mine back there for a while. tied it down with a strap through the handles. Proplem is when you raise the motor up it hits the 68qt coolerthe lid was hard to open and now my fish cleaning board is located there hanging over the aft portside in close for the washdown hose and spryer. I use either a 68 or 150 qt cooler and i find it is easier to stow up front also acts as a seat when you have 4 or 5 souls fishing.:twocents:

Was going to try and find a picture of it but don't have any. But yes I have one on mine. 68qt and I used the stainless brackets from west marine and mounted it as far over to the edge as a could. Works well. Cooler is just awsome when the motor is all the way down. I always tilt the motor away from the cooler or strait when trailering and have full access to it also.

I have a 20' Seahawk with a Yamaha F150 motor. Mine is mounted on the Port side as my kicker is mounted STBD>

What do you think of this idea. I took out one of my bench seats and replaced it with a big marine cooler. It's the biggest marine cooler Cabelas sells. I believe it's made my Coleman. It has dividers in it along with a tray. After I got it, I took it to my canvas guy and had him put a cushion on it and cover it with Sunbrella. My crew likes to sit on better it seems. I was going to put a cooler on the O/S bracket but I have my bait tank there. The other side my kicker cables are in the way.

This, I LIKE! How is the cooler held down? Does the cushion attach thru the cooler cover, sit on top, go around or?

It is held down by bunji cords. I put them through the end handles and hook them to the gunnels. Never moves around, even with alot of ice. The cushion sits on top and the sunbrella cover has snaps all the way around to hold it on and nice and tight.
