I went to Diamond Lake for the first time this September and loved it. Would like to take my wife along next year. I plan on getting reservations for my camper and boat, and have two questions. 1) When are the good times to go during the summer, and 2) do any of the campgrounds have boat mooring along with showers on site. Or will I need to load/unload my boat each time? Any advise would be great.

We did good all summer.........But early spring is good and no bugs.. Best is Sept after the kids go to school. Diamond Lake Campground and Broken Arrow Campground both have showers. The marina at the lodge rents boat spaces, I think it's $15 a day. The shore line is bad for boats........... Don't leave worms or ice chests of fish in the boat overnight, the coons will get them.
