Due to a canceled engagement, I suddenly find myself free to go trout fishing tomorrow.
What about Harriet lake, is it good this late in the fall?
Or...any other trout suggestions, not too far away from Portland?

That lake can be excelent somedays but on other days you won't even get a bite. A lot of methods work there so try new things if whatever you have isn't working. Hopefully the lake grass in there has gone down a little bit by now because it can be a real problem trying to get your gear around it. As far as other lakes around pdx, there just aren't very many good ones open now. You could try timothy but the wind picks up in the afternoon and its drained twenty feet so no boat ramps are in good condition. If you can make it out on timothy with no wind than you might hook up into some fish.

Many ponds hve just been stocked with Brooder Trout and Excess Summer Steelhead.
Salish pond, Walter Wirth, and others. Don't use too light of line if you want a big one!

I got out there, but no luck. The wind was really blowing today. Some folks fishing from the bank were doing alright, tho'.
