I returned last night from 4 days of pouding the waters of Crescent. It was not easy fishing with weather conditions comfortable, but increasing the challenge to encounter the big trout we were after. Fortunatly our long hours on the water produced a quality list of fish in the end. The surface temps were 48 degrees and the fish were biting in the top 15 ft of water. All but one fish were caught on kokanee looking stickbaits with blue hues. The other fish took a rainbow Lyman. Numbers of the bigger fish for the 2 of us were browns of 4, 5, 5.5, 7, and 7 lbs; and lakers of 5, 10, and 11 lbs. We spent most of our time trolling the rim of the lake in 15-30 ft of water. Here's a few photos of the bigger fish. All fish were released as always...

As always great looking fish. Do the lakes need to completly freeze over to keep you away from these beasts?

A frozen lake is about all that will keep me away. Here's a pic from a couple of years ago when my buddy and I were the first ones on the lake after a long freeze. The "little bit" of ice remaining was way too thick to break our way through so we pulled the boat up onto the ice and slid it 200 ft to the open water and dumped it in. I caught a 32 inch brown the next morning!

Way to go guys :applause: Crescent has been pretty stingy this year for browns. Once again, you and Jordan are making it look easy.
