Well, Miller did turn out to be accessible. Only a few patches of snow on the way in. It got so warm in fact, that it was t-shirt weather for a brief period in the afternoon.
It was an absolutely gorgeous day, ( which is not necessarily a good thing when you're targeting brown trout. ) bright and clear, with a lake surface like polished glass. I ended up taking home three fish, 14-15" All caught on worms; they would touched trolled lures of any sort.
I did all my fishing on the West end of the lake, which is my favorite spot on Miller. Saw several very nice browns leaping, but no luck on getting them to take any of my offerings. These trout were spooky, too. Several times when passing over the shallows, I saw fish fleeing at the approach of my boat...even when just drifting!
All in all, a fine day...and the last time, I'll be able to get to Miller this year, unless we have a very warm rest of November.
Tight lines 2 all.
