I looked at a NR Seahawk today that had a slight case of "white measels". Not bad, just surface stuff that comes off with your fingernail. Its a two year old boat so I was wondering if that will become a problem later.
Also, it is a 20ft. boat with an offshore bracket and a 115hp Yamaha. Will that be enough juice to power the boat or will I be disappointed?
Thanks

I don't think a 115 would be enough HP for that boat especially if you'll be going out into the ocean at all.
As far as the spots go, inspect it well and make sure there is no pitting. I would also look at the wiring and make sure the hull and motors are protected with zincs.

I have a 20 FT. Seahawk with the 150 It does fine at elevation, I originally ordered it with the 115. I was talked into getting the 150 and now glad I did go with it. I think if you plan on using it at elevation (above 4500 to 5000) and fully loaded go 150. If I was using it at sea level It probably would have been fine with the 115. I do know people who are satisfied with the 115, correct prop does make a difference too....

My 18'6" Seahawk has the 115hp does fine. But I do agree with others that the 20' would be better matched to a 150hp. The 115 would work though but top speed would be only appx 35.

a 115 is absolutely not enough power at any elevation on that boat don't ask me how I know that. Don't even consider it you won't be happy.
