Tomic lures, makers of the Wee-Tad lure, has a interesting lure called the TNT. They show the TNT rigged up with a hoochie on the back. I've done something similar with the Apex lure to attract kokanee. If you go to the captaindownriggins web site you will also see the TNT lure and Apex rigged up this way. They also show the hoochie rigged instead of running the line through the front hole, it's ran through the side just before the hole to give it a slow roll. Click on rigging and tips to get to "captain downriggins deadly hoochie secrets"...GOODSTUFF!!! This way of rigging the TNT and Apex is similar to the Hoochie Thing by Crystal Basin, but with a different action, and comes in many colors. Anyone tried this technique out?

I havn't seen that one, but here is a couple to check out on wigglefin on line.
I have made up something similar by using the plastic straws that have a scoup at one end that are used for milk shakes. I think I got some at Dari Queen. Just cut the straw down to 1''long & slip the hoochie inside. The scoup gives the hoochie a lot of action.

That's a great idea Kokonuts! Speaking of straws, the small fluorescent one's found at most bars work good in place of beads for spacing the hooks on the hoochies. I have tried the pom-pom trick also inside the hoochies, holds the scent well!

I learned about useing pom-poms here earlier this year. They are small fluorescent balls of material you get at the craft shop, you thread them on the line with a needle. They are used inside the hoochie instead of beads. Some beads have a way of melting into the hoochie skirt over time, and this cures it. They hold scent good, just have to remember to clean them afterwards.
I have yet to try the wiggle fins out, hopefully someone can chime in with some first hand experience with them...
