Anyone fish up there this late in the year? I just discovered exactly how to get up there, the lake looked clear two nights ago. With the coastal streams being blown out and very high, there's no point in fishing the wilson or trask, so it looks like if I still want to fish on Thursday, my options are kind of limited.
I'm bouncing between Lost Lake, Hagg Lake. Maybe hit the Sandy for salmon/steelhead, but it's probably high and muddy too... Am open to other suggestions, tho I'd like to keep it inside of 60-70 miles from Hillsboro this trip.

I haven't fished for 30yrs, but I remember getting rained on real hard and it was fine! Had nice cutts in it!

I've fished a few times over the past few years. It's an awfully small lake and it gets pounded hard during the season. Since it's essentially put n' take, I wouldn't bother unless it's been stocked in the past few weeks---and it probably hasn't.
I'd probably save some drive time and go to Hagg instead...you may even pick up a nice-sized smallie or two.

I think Scoggins Park closes the Sunday before Thanksgiving. You also need a pass to enter it.

November 23 is when Hagg closes. And yeah, you'll have to get a parking pass. If the manned station isn't open, they've got little automated pass machines too. It's $5 a day for a single car, and I think $6 or 7 if you're pulling a boat trailer.
