Anyone fish clear lake lately? is it open? is it worth the trip? if so my boy and I are there Saturday. any thoughts would be great.:cheers: Plan B will be goose on mt.Adams:meme:

which one? wasco co or the other one? if your talking about the one near mt hood in wasco co i wouldnt try it, it gets drained down really far. Goose lake should still be accessable and is a great place to fish. remember goose lake is only an electric motor lake

hey no problem. I personally havent fished at clear lake but i have been there before. Its known to have some big holdovers according to some people. Dont know if its true or not. Tell me if you have any luck at either place.

Fishing at Clear Lake on Santiam Pass is open year round. I've fished there in the past when we had to walk in because of the snow. You use to be able to rent a boat in the off season from the care taker after the resort was closed for the season. Looks like the resort is open year round now as well. No it would be great if their were 7 Santiams. Then you could make a report on the fishing without getting flamed on because nobody would know exactly which one you were talking about!:D

my son and I went up to clear lake Saturday and landed two. Started out on the boat and nothing. spotting a few here and there,water temp was 43 deg depth 6-13. We saw an 18 incher caught from the bank then we gave up on the boat and moved to shore. Our fish were 12 inches and very fat released them for another day. Cant wait to get up there again.:thisbig: bassmann:cheers:
