I have a Ranger Communications Model #MP 1000 vhf two way Radio and Charger that i am going to put up for sale or trade for fishing rod/reel. this thing is like brand new despite the light amount of dust on it:D thanks for any input offered....here are some pics:

Probably not much. Its going to need a new battey. It looks to be a multi channel business band VHF radio, but I didn't know they had six channels in that service - good luck. I had a pair of newer Motorola Spirits and no takers at $100

thanks for the info...just curious...why do you say it will need a new battery?

Rechargable batteries usually don't last very long without a charge. Especially NiCad batteries. Try charging it and turn it on

that was what i thought you meant. actually it lasts as long as my marine vhf if not longer....the charger has a quick and a trickle charge and i have to imaging that trickle is better. hopefully someone out there has one or more of these and needs an additional back-up or something. it has just been sitting around here gathering dust....like me....so im cleaning stuff out.
