Hey I have a MotorGuide 69lb thrust trolling motor. It has the 12/24v Switch on the pedal. I have a 4 prong plug. It has 2 batteries just for the t motor and one for the motor. I bought the boat 2 months ago and i have been having problems with just one battery dieing. When i have the t motor on the 12v option it kills the battery in a matter of a few min. Then I turn it too 24v and it runs for a long time but slowly dies. The batteries are pretty new. They hold a charge. And when i have the boat at home i have charged the batteries and it still does it. I have tried finding wiring diagrams but i only found one for the 4 prong plug and it still does the same. Can you guys help?

Check your connections at the plug , I have seen them catch fire from too much resistance from corrosion on male to female connectors ...
Try wiring in a 3 prong setup , its all you need for a 24 volt setup ...
Also make sure your wire is of sufficient size to do the job ...
Heres some info for you ... Barney
