We found a revolver among other things half buried in the snow off the 4220 road out of Estacada today if you know who's it is or if it is yours PM me and verify so we can get it back to its owner. whoever lost it could have been on snowmobiles yesterday the 4th because it had been snowed on and run over by a snowmobile.

It wouldn't be a Ruger Super Red Hawk would it? Someone found mine in the snow but failed to return it. I thought maybe this might be a time for justice. Lost mine east side a couple years back.

If you turned it in to the authorities, and no one claimed it, would you get it back (like if you found cash?). Could it have been used in a crime and dumped? I don't know if I'd want to keep it....

Dont want to get it back, and dont want to keep it, "its not mine" We are about 99% sure it fell off the back of a snowmobile in the dark, and the second bike ran over it. As far as turning it over to the authorities,,, did that once before... No Thanks... I have a friend who has a gun shop I am going to have him run the numbers and see if we can find the owner that way, but to be honest I figured between leaving a pie plate with #s where we found it, and ifish, we honestly thought it would have been claimed right away.

OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND!!! He was up looking where he thought he lost it and found the card we left, called and verified that it was definetely his and was VERY VERY thankful. He even brought us a damn good bottle of whiskey, Glad to see it get back to its owner, it left an empty hole now where it had been sitting in the safe for the last month. Guess I better go shopping for something to fill it. :)
To all those that were worried,, I had the numbers ran and it was CLEAN.
Now, that is a happy ending!!.. with Clean bill of health on it too boot.
Yea gonna share that good stuff with Us on Ifish?. kinda thirsty now. :-)
Good job, being honest. need more folks like yea.

Glad to hear stories like this. Too often we see people getting stuff stolen from them by people who have no respect for anyone, and then you see something like this where a guy finds something that he could have just kept but instead made all attempts to find the rightful owner. Good on you man, hopefully the Karma merry-go-round will find its way back to you someday.
