I have a Shakespeare downrigger rod that I absolutely love. Its an Integrity thats 8' and rated ML for 6-15lb line.
They don't make this particular model anymore, but have replaced it with an Agility IM-8 that has the same specs.
I've looked all over the net and can't seem to locate one.
Has anyone seen or maybe bought one recently that could give me a heads up on where to look?:pray::pray:

Fish USA (an on-line fishing tackle store) carries Shakespeare downrigger rods. They also carry Eagleclaw Starfire downrigger rods (designed for Great Lakes downrigger fishing). I ordered the model SF-400 (7' 6") downrigger rod, and I love it! Perfect rod for mackinaw. It's all fiberglass and loads up with a beautiful arc when downrigger trolling. And it only costs $29.99! Just goes to show that you don't need a $200.00 rod for all types of fishing. Check out Fish USA's prices for Okuma and Daiwa line counter reels too.
