This week I returned to Diamond for the first time since about 1959. Tuesday we were playing catch and release wilth trout to 17". Simply amazing. My largest catch of the day taped out at 19 inches and it looked like a football with fins. In two days of fishing, I caught more than a dozen fish of 16" or better.
The weather was spectacular, and the catching outstanding. It's nice to see this jewel of the Cascades restored.

Old coot sent me a picture on my cell phone. I thought we were doing pretty well with the 11to13 inchers we have been getting at Detroit but these fish make mine look like sardines. Way to go Coot I always had faith you could still catch fish.

Nice job on the bows. It's so good to see Diamond Lake back on track again.

My wife's granddad used to be a ranger up there. We had a family reunion before they poisoned it, when it was overrun with the chubs and algae. This is an answer to his prayers. He would be very happy.
