Super Fluke

I went fishing with my brother and dad today, we had a late start today because everything was frozen outside and we didn't want to get cold. We started fishing at about 10 am. My brother caught a nice four pounder on the second cast of the day. About 20 minuets after that he caught another largy, it was about two pounds. After that, I hooked into a monster. I thought I was stuck at first and then she started pulling, their was no stopping her, she was on fire. I foughter her for a little bit and got her in. We put her on the scale, it read 8 lb 0 oz. I was pretty pumped that I got a fish that big this late in the year. We taped her and she was 23.5 inches long and FAT! So after a few picture we let her go to fight another day.

I'm hoping to get out for one more trip this year if it doesn't get to cold.

Way to go Nick, I fished a Tx on Champlain this past weekend and only managed 15lbs. Temps at take off were in the low 20's and around 9am the wind picked up to around 20mph. I did catch a 4.9 smallie and a 4lb largemouth that came on a black hair jig and a sweet beaver. I caught the smallie off a wreck your dad and I fished when he was here on my first cast of the day. You guys have had a great season and I really enjoyed fishing with you earlier this year. Your skills have progressed to a high level which is what it takes to catch them and you consistently get it done. It was great being there when your dad caught that other monster. I just was glad to lip that hog for him.
Keep it wet,
