I hit a lake I fish from time to time and the last two times I fished it in the last 14 days I lost two bass over 6 pounds and the last one was over 7 pounds! I got 16 bass yesterday and was not getting into any big bass. But it's fall and I keep fishing because that could change any time! Well I was fishing a piling row and finaly got a good bite I knew it was a good fish right away. She dragged my pontoon boat around for a several seconds. And she was spent. She moved us into about 4 feet of water and some weeds near the end of her fight. I was working her our of the weeds. And I made a rooky mistake. I could see her in the water about a foot under the water and she was not fighting. I put some presure on her and rushed it just a little and PING. She was gone. I had this bass she was mine but because of rushing it cost me a bass near 8 pounds (OUCH).
I love the fall but hate loosing monsters. I had fished many lures that day but she fell to the small senko WACKY RIGGED. You win some and you loose some. I was reminded by that fish that you cant make dumb mistakes with big bass! Still glad I got the chande to fight her and to get a good look at her. Well fall is not over but the end is coming fast! So hit the water now!
