We are going to be having a baby and I need to find a great home for my female chocolate lab. She is 5 years old, house trained, walks well on a leash, has basic obedience. Loves to retrieve bumpers balls etc. Have only hunted her a couple times. She is not gun shy. Really not trying to place her into a hunting family, just trying to find someone that is very active that will give her more attention than she will get when we have a baby around. She has a ton of drive and can run all day. She is great with other dogs, not real good with small kids. She doesn't bite and is never mean but tends to over eager.

She stays in the kennel outside during the day, sleeps inside in our bedroom at night. Not a barker. Any questions let me know. I am not in a hurry to get rid of her, just trying to find the right home.

I live in the Tri Cities area but could possibly meat up somewhere for delivery.

Meet Lucy!

Beautiful Lab, bummer you have to get rid of her. You know her better then I do obviously and all dogs are different, but you might be surprised how gentle and accepting she is of a new baby. Our Chocolate lab was 6 when my son was born, She had never been around kids. It turned out she was great with him and still is, he's 1 and a half now and they're great friends! And she does a great job of cleaning the floor around the high chair at meal times...

Free bump, Good luck on finding Lucy a good home! :)

Good Luck finding Lucy a new home. If I could, I would take her in a heartbeat, but my female lab is overly protective of my time for now. Good on you for taking the time in advance to find her just the right home.

Still have her. I have plenty of time to find the right home. Just wanted to give a bump.
